Patterns with the same color scheme or patterns with reversed colors will do the same thing. If you have a black fabric in one room with spots of pink and green, try finding pink fabric with spots of black and green for another room.
5. Bring the spaces together architecturally as much as possible. You do not want a room with a low cieling and mission furniture next to a room with vaulted cielings and art deco furniture.
